The Quigley family came to Australia and Daisy was fostered to the Rogers family. Her foster parents were Charles John Rogers, a police magistrate and Florence Isabella Elizabeth nee Eager. She was considered to be their daughter and one newspaper article said she was an adopted daughter and another article she was considered a sister to the Rogers children.

Baby Health "Pioneer" Farewelled
Ballarat, Friday
Sister D. A. Quigley a pioneer nurse of the Ballarat Baby Health Centre, was given a civic farewell by Cr. W. E. Roff Mayor, at the City Hall today. Council officers presented her with a handbag and gloves.
Sister Quigley retired recently after 27 years' service. She began her work in a room at the City Hall in 1923
During World War I, she served with the Australian Army Nursing Service in India.
