MRS. W. F. SARGISSON
Advice has been received of the death in India of Mrs. W. F. Sargisson, better known at Mortdale as Miss Stella Black, a niece of the late Mrs. J. J. Saltwell. The late Mrs. Sargisson was educated at the Mortdale School and afterwards trained at Sydney Hospital as a nurse. On the outbreak ofwar, she volunteered, was appointed to the Queen Alexandra nursing service, and was stationed at the Khyber Pass Hospital, Peshawar, India. She was invalided to England, and was appointed to the Australian Limbless Soldiers' Hospital, Southall. She married Captain W. F. Sargisson, of the Madras Lancers and Chief Civil Engineer of the Southern Indian Railways, at Kensington, London, and is survived by her husband and three children.
